A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE PORTION OF THE MASTER FEES AND CHARGES

SCHEDULE PERTAINING TO BUILDING FEES AS ADOPTED UNDER RESOLUTION NO. 09-44
WHETS, tlhe City'ofTigard has a Master Pees and Charges Schedule;and
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard Building Fund is a self-supported dedicated find in which all inspections,plans
review and building support services are paid with revenues obtained through the purchase ofpennits;and
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard Building Division has incurred a dramatic decrease in revenues within the last
yeat and a half clue to'die economicdownturn nationwide;and
WHEREAS, in June 2009, the Building Division conducted a comparable fee study with neighboring
junsdictions;and
WHERE S,it was determined that adjustments should be applied within the Structural, Electrical, Mechanical,
and Plumbing programs;and.
WHEREAS,an adjustment in the above-mentioned fees will assist in eliminating the shortfall in Building fund
revenue and continue to provide the needed building services for the City of Tigard;and
WHEREAS, City staff has revised the Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Permit Fees within the
Community Development Department.
NOW,THERE- BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1; The fees and charges for the Building Division in the Community Development Department
are enurnel-ted and setas shown in the attached schedule (Exhibit A).
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective October 1,2009.
