RESOLUTION NO. 09 D
A RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING DAVID BURKE AND CECILIA NGUYEN, CURRENT LIBRARY
BOARD MEMBERS,TO FOUR-YEAR TERMS EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30,2013;
APPOINTING SCOTT HANCOCK AS LIBRARY BOARD MEMBER FOR A FOUR-YEAR TERM
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2013 AND APPOINTING GRACE AMOS AND
JOHN STORHM AS ALTERNATES FOR TERMS EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30,
2011.
WHEREAS,David Burke and Cecilia Nguyen,current Library Board members,have expressed their interest in
serving on the Board;and
WHEREAS,if appointed,their terms would be effective July 1,2009 through June 30,2013;and
WHEREAS,Scott Hancock submitted an Application of Interest to serve on the Tigard Library Board and was
interviewed by the Mayor's Appointments Advisory Committee on Monday,June 15,2009;and
WHEREAS, Grace Amos and John Storhrn submitted Applications of Interest and were also interviewed by
the Mayor's Appointments Advisory Committee on Monday,June 15,2009.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: David Burke and Cecilia Nguyen are hereby reappointed.as Board Members for terms
effective July 1,2009 through June 30,2013;and
SECTION 2: Scott Hancock is hereby appointed as a Board Member,terra effective July 1,2009 through
June 30,2013;and
SECTION 3: Grace Amos and John Storhm are hereby appointed as Alternates to the Tigard Library
Board,terms effective July 1,2009 through June 30,2011.
SECTION 4: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
