TIGARD CITY COUNCIL
RE SOLUTION NO. 09-4�-
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY'S ELECTION TO RECEIVE STATE REVENUES
WHEREAS, State Revenue Sharing Law, ORS 221.770, requires cities to annuallypass an ordinance or
resolution requesting state revenue sharing money, and
WHEREAS, the law mandates public hearings be held by the City and that certification of these
hearings is also required;and
WHEREAS, in order to receive state revenue sharing in FY 2009-10, the City must have levied
property taxes in the preceding year; and
WHEREAS,the Citydid levy property taxes in FY 2008-09.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED bythe Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Pursuant to ORS 221.770, the City hereby elects to receive state revenues for the
Fiscal Year 2008-10.
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
PASSED: Thish day of 2009.
