A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TROY NEARS AS A MEMBER, AND APPOINTING HOLLY
POLIVKA AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER, TO THE PARK AND RECREATION ADVISORY
BOARD
WHEREAS, Troy Mears and Holly Pohvka have expressed an interest in serving on the Park and Recreation
advisoryBoard;and
WHEREAS, there are currently three vacancies (one voting member and two alternate member vacancies) on
the Park and Recreation Advisory Board;and
WHEREAS, Troy Mears and Holly Pohvka were interviewed and recommended for appointment by the
Mayor's Appointment Advisory Committee;and
WHEREAS,only two individuals expressed interest in the vacancies,so one alternate member position win
remain open.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Troy:Mears is appointed to fill the unexpired Park and Recreation Advisory Board term of
Jason Ashley.This term expires on June 30,2010.
SECTION 2: Holly Polivka is appointed to her first term as an alternate member to the Park and
Recreation Advisory Board.This term expires on June 30,2010.
SECTION 3: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
