SOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AN
INTERGOVERMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH METRO AND TRIMET TO FUND
REDEVELOPMENT FEASIBILITY STUDY OF THE TIGARD TRANSIT CENTER
SITE
WHEREAS,it-riplementing the Downtown Urban Renewal flan is a goal of the Tigard City Council;and
WHEREAS,Metro, TriMet and the City have an interest in promoting transit oriented development in
Town Centers and such a development could serve as a catalyst for development in Downtown Tigard;and
WHEREAS, an Intergovernmental Agreement will commit the three parties to explore the feasibility of
redeveloping the Tigard Transit Center into a imi ed use transit-oriented development; and
WHEREAS,an Intergovernmental Agreementwill commit`t for Metro and the City to jointly fund the study.
NOW,"I H pREFORE,BE IT RESOLVE D by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION T: The Tigard City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign an
Intergovernmental Agreement with Metro and TriMct to fund a redevelopment feasibility
study of the Tigard Transit Center.
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage..
