A RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING MATTHEW MULDOON AND KAREN FISHEL AS
VOTING MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND APPOINTING TIMOTHY
L. SCHICE AS AN ALTERNATE TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
VJ-IEREAS, there currently exist two vacancies for voting members on the Planning Commission;and
WHEREAS, Matthew Muldoon and Karen Fishes were appointed to the Planning Commission in
March,2007"to fill the unexpired terms of farmer Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, their terms will expire December 31,2008; and
WHEREAS, both Matthew Muldoon and Karen Fishel are eligible for reappointment to the Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, there currently exists one vacant alternate position on the Planning Commission;and
WHEREAS, Matthew Muldoon, Karen Fishel, and Timothy L. Gasc ke applied for appointments to
the Planning.Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Appointment Advisory Co aittee recd ends that Council reappoint
Matthew Muldoon and:[wren Fishel as voting members of the Planning Commission, and appoint
Timothy L. Gaschke as an alternate to the Planning Commission.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council than:•••.
SECTION 1: Matthey Muldoon is reappointed to the Planning Co `ssion to fill a term which:
expires December 31,2012.
SECTION : Daren Fishel is reappointed to the Planning Commission to fill a term which expires
December 31, 2012.
SECTION 3: Timothy L. Gaschke is appointed as an alternate to the Planning Commission to fin a
term which expires December 31, 2009.

PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPOINTEES
BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
On December 9, 2008, Matthew Muldoon and Daren Fishel will be recommended for
reappointment as voting members of the Tigard Planning Commission. Also, on December 9,
Timothy L. Gaschke will be recommended for appointment as a non-voting alternate to the Tigard
Planning Corrtn ssion.
Matthe-,N, Muldoon is employed as the Senior Economist at the Oregon Public Utility Co ssion..
He specializes in economic planning, research, and financial analysis regarding energy and
transmission. He is also President of Muldoon :Enterprises, Inc. and is a board member of the
Acceleration Transportation Rate Bureau, Inc. Muldoon earned a Bachelor of Arts from the
University of Chicago. He graduated with top lxonors, and earned an MBAmi Finance at Portland
State.University. He has lived in Tigard for 17 years.
Daren Fishel is currently employed as a Designer / Project Manager with Anderson K ygier, Inc.,
specializing in environmental graphic design. Fishel earned an Associate of Science from Portland
Community College and an :.Associate of Interior Design: from Bassist College. She has lived in
Tigard for 6 years,
Timothy L. Gaschke has been a professional civil engineer since 1991., Since June, 2008 he has been
employed as the Principal Civil Engineer at Lewis & Van Vleet, Inc. In 1989, Gaschke earned
Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) from Arizona State U `vetsity. He lived in Canberra,
Australia from 1959 —1997, and has now lived in Tigard for over eleven years.
