A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION FOR
METRO ASSISTANCE FOR CREATING AND PRINTING A TIGARD BICYCLE ROUTES MAP
WHEREAS, the Regional Travel Options grant program provides funding for projects and programs that
reduce transportation related emissions to meet and maintain national air quality standards;and
WHEREAS, some $525,000 in Regional Travel Options funds is available to support eligible projects carried
out from July 2009 through June 2011;and
WHEREAS,the City of Tigard wishes to participate in this program to the maximum extent feasible;and
WHEREAS,the development of bicycle route maps is an eligible activity under Regional Travel Options.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The City of Tigard hereby expresses its support for the development of a local bicycle routes
map and authorizes submission of an application for federal assistance.
SECTION This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
