A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY'S ELECTION TO RECEIVE STATE REVENUI-S
WHEREAS, State Revenue Sharing Lav, ORS 221.770, requires cities to annually pass an ordinance or
resolution requesting state revenue sharing money; and
WHEREAS, the Iaw mandates public hearings be held by the City and that certification of these
hearings is also required; and
WHEREAS, in order to receive state revenue sharing in FY 2008-09, the City must have levied
property tales in the preceding year; and
WHEREAS, the City did leery property taxes in FY 2007-08.
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Pursuant to ORS 221.770, the City hereby elects to receive state revenues for the
Fiscal Year 2008-09.
SECTION : This resolution is effective i Tnnediately upon passage.
