RESOLUTION NO. 084-3
A RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT #6 TO THE FY 2007-08 BUDGET TO
INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS IN THE PARKS CAPITAL FUND BUDGET TO REFLECT THE
ANTICIPATED ADDITIONAL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTION OF TWO
ENTRYWAY MONUMENTS LEADING INTO THE CITY OF TIGARD.
WHEREAS,The City Council approved appropriations of$35,000 in the FY 07/08 budget to fund the final
design and construction of two entryway monuments; and
WHEREAS, The results of two separate formal Invitations to Bid for the work yielded bids which were more
than twice die architect's estimate for the work; and
WHEREAS, the Local Contract Review Board, at their February 26, 2008 meeting, awarded a contract to Zink
Commercial Contractors, Inc. for the construction of two of the entryway monuments;and
WHEREAS, to properly fund the project it is necessary to amend the FY 2007-08 Budget by increasing
appropriations in the Parks Capital Fund budget
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The FY 2007-08 Budget is hereby amended as shown in Attachment A to this resolution to
transfer$60,000 from the Parks Capital Fund contingency to capital improvements to provide
sufficient appropriations to complete this project in the current fiscal year.
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
