RESOLUTION NO. 08-
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A
STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT GRANT APPLICATION FOR IMPROVEMENTS AND
ENHANCEMENTS TO FANNO CREEK PARK, AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE
TIGARD CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the Nature in
Neighborhoods Capital Grant Program;and
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard desires to participate in the grant program to the greatest extent possible as a
means of providing needed park improvements and enhancements;and
WHEREAS, the City Center Advisory Commission has identified ni nprovements and enhancements to Fanno
Creek Park as a high priority need in the City Center Area,and
WHEREAS, these improvements and enhancements are delineated in the Fatwo Cirek Pars wit Platia Master
Plain, adopted by Council on February 12, 2008,and;
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard hereby certifies that the matching share for this application is readily available at
dais time;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The City of Tigard hereby expresses its support for making improvements and enhancements
to Fanno Creek Park, and authorizes submission of an application to the Oregon Parrs and
Recreation Department for funding assistance as specified above.
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
