A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MEMBERS OF THE FANNO CREEK PARK & DOWNTOWN
PLAZA STEERING COMMITTEE AND DISBANDING THE COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council established the Fanno Creek Park & Downtown Plaza Steering
Committee by resolution on February 27,2007;and
WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with reviewing options for development of a master plan for Fanno
Creek Park and a Downtown Plaza, considering public comment, and providing recommendations to the City
Center Development Agency as necessary;and
WHEREAS, the Committee convened at nine (9) scheduled meetings open to the public from April 2007 to
February 2008;and
WHEREAS, the Committee has completed its mission, and provided its final recommendations to Council on
February 12,2008,which resulted in adoption of the Fanno Creek Park&Downtown Plaza Master Plan.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The following Fanno Creek Park & Downtown Plaza Steering Committee members are
commended for their efforts and time devoted to developing a master plan for a park and
plaza which will have long-standing,positive impact on the community and Downtown: Carl
Switzer,Eugene Butera,Dan Dolan,Alice Ellis Gaut,Mike Freudenthal,Chuck O'Leary,Lisa
Olson,Trisha Swanson,Brian Wegener,and Mike Swanda.
SECTION 2: The Fanno Creek Park & Downtown Plaza Steering Committee has successfully completed
its task,and is hereby disbanded.
SECTION 3: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
PASSED: This day of r' _2008.
