RESOLUTION NO. 05-10."
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE, FUNDING REQUEST FROM ST VINCENT DE PAUL FROM
THE CITY'S RESIDENTIAL SERVICES EMERGENCY SET-ASIDE
WHEREAS, the FY 2005-06 Adopted Budget includes funds in the amount of$5,125 for the establislurnent
of a "Residential Services Emergency Set-aside"; and
WHEREAS, the set-aside was established to assist agencies that provide emergency food and housing to
those in need; and
WHEREAS, St Vincent de Paul recently completed the construction of a new food dsitribution warehouse;
and
WHEREAS, St Vincent de Paul has requested a grant of$2,500 fiom the set-aside to offset a portion of the
plamiing and building fees incurred during the construction of the new facility; and
WHEREAS, St Vincent de Paul provides emergency food boxes to about 200 families in the City of Tigard
each month; and
WHEREAS,the grant would support the intent and goal of the emergency set-aside program.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: A grant to St Vincent de Paul in the amotmt of$2,500 be given to help offset a portion of the
cost of the plarming and building fees associated with the construction of the new food
distribution warehouse.
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
