A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY OF TIGARD'S INTENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CITY
COUNTY INSURANCE SERVICES GROUP SELF-INSURANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to ORS 656.430(7)(d)(B), a resolution must be passed to become a Member of the
CIS Workers' Compensation Self-Insured Group (hereinafter referred to as "Self-Insured Group"); and
WHEREAS, a resolution must be adopted within the first thirty (30) days of participation in the Self-
Insured
elfInsured Group.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The City of Tigard (hereinafter referred to as the "City") agrees to be liable for the payment
of any compensation due the Oregon Workers' Compensation Division incurred by the City
set out under ORS Chapter 656.
Section 2: Should the City terminate from the Self-Insured Group, the City will continue to be liable
for the payment of any compensation due its subject workers and other amounts due the
Workers' Compensation Division when such compensation and other amounts arise out of a
period when the City was a member of the Self-Insured Group.
Section 3: This resolution is effective immediately with the City's membership in the CIS Workers'
Compensation Self-Insurance Services Group established retroactively to July 1,2005.
