RESOLUTION NO.04-:a
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL CONFIRMING THE COMMITMENT OF
RECOGNIZING THE BULL MOUNTAIN AREA AS A NEIGHBORHOOD WITH A UNIQUE
IDENTITY IN A REVISED NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAM.
WHEREAS,the City of Tigard has made a commitment to be the provider of urban services for the Bull
Mountain area;and
WHEREAS,the City of Tigard's commitment to provide urban services to the Bull Mountain area has
been formalized in the 1983 Urban Planning Area Agreement and the 1997 Urban Services Area
Agreement;and
WHEREAS,the 2004 Bull Mountain Annexation residents identify their area as unique;and
WHEREAS,the City is in the process of evaluating and revising the citizen involvement program to
include a neighborhood component;and
WHEREAS,the City of Tigard has placed the Bull Mountain Annexation on the November 2,2004
ballot.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: If the Bull Mountain Annexation is approved by the voters of Bull Mountain and the
City of Tigard on November 2, 2004, the City of Tigard shall recognize the Bull
Mountain area as a unique neighborhood in a revised neighborhood program which will
be developed for the City.
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
