RESOLUTION NO. 03- ;S
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE INITIAL MEMBERSHIP, AN ALTERNATE AND AN EX-
OFFICIO MEMBER TO THE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD
WHEREAS,the Park and Recreation Advisory Board was activated by Ordinance No. 03-02 which was
approved by the City Council on April 22,2003, and
WHEREAS, the following applicants expressed interest in serving on the Park and Recreation Advisory
Board and were interviewed by the Mayor's Appointments Advisory Committee in June 2003, and
WHEREAS, the Tigard Planning Commission supports the appointment of Scot Sutton to an ex-officio
position for one year,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Michael Freudenthal and David Baumgarten are each appointed to a two-year term
which will expire on December 31,2005.
SECTION 2: Scott Bernhard and Kristin Gaston are each appointed to a three-year term which will
expire on December 31,2006.
SECTION 3: Carl Switzer, Shelley Richards, and Darrin Marks are each appointed to a four-year term
which will expire on December 31,2007.
SECTION 4: Jason Ashley is appointed as alternate for a term ending December 31, 2005 or before
that date if he is appointed to complete a term vacated by a mid-term resignation of an
existing member.
SECTION 5: Scot Sutton is appointed as an ex-officio member representing the Planning Commission
for a term which will expire on December 31, 2004.
SECTION 6: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
