A RESOLUTION ADJUSTING THE FEE FOR LIEN SEARCH SERVICE
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard provides lien search services to title companies that includes the ability for
any title company to search on-line,and
WHEREAS,the current fee of$10.00 for providing this service was established in 1990 by Resolution 90-
06,
WHERAS,a survey of several surrounding cities indicate that most cities provide such service at a rate
ranging from$10.00 to$50.00 per search,and
WHEREAS,Tigard Municipal Code,Section, 3.32 requires that fees and charges be reasonable,recover
costs associated with providing the service,and be approved by resolution.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The fee for providing lien search servcies to title companies be adjusted to$25.00 per
lien search effective July 1,2001.
