RESOLUTION NO.00- /q
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL TO THE OREGON PARKS AND
RECREATION DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT GRANT PROPOSALS FOR THE
ACQUISTION OF THE S i ANLEY AND BOND STREET PROPERTIES.
WHEREAS, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the Local
Government Grant Program;and
WHEREAS,the City of Tigard desires to participate in this grant program to the greatest extent possible as
a means of providing needed park and recreation improvements and enhancements;and
XI IEREAS -die City Council has identified the acquisition of the eight-acre Stanley and the four-acre Bond
Street properties as high priority n.,-Js in the City of Tigard;and
WHEREAS, the respective owners of these properties have indicated that the land is available for
acquisition;and
WHEREAS,the Trust for Public Lands has indicated a desire to participate in the City's efforts to acquire
the two properties;and
WHEREAS,the City hereby certifies that the matching shares for these applications are readily available at
this time;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council That:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is authorized to submit applications for Local Government Grants
from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department for the acquisition of real property
as specified above.
