A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE OUTSTANDING CONTRUTBUTION OF HENRY "HANK"
MARCH TO THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS OF
TIGARD AND WASHINGTON COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program(CDBG)is a national program designed to
address the priority housing and community development needs of low and moderate income individuals,
including special needs groups;and
WHEREAS, the national CDBG program is administered locally by the Washington County Office of
Community Development;and

construction
and remodeling of the Tigard Senior Center,improvements to 91st Avenue,improvements for
disabled persons' access to city parks, sidewalk segments leading to Metzger and Charles F. Tigard
Elementary Schools;and
WHEREAS, numerous non-profit agencies serving Tigard-area residents have also benefited from grant
funding provided by the CDBG program;and
WHEREAS,Hank March has been the Manager of the Washington County Community Development since
its formation in 1979;and
WHEREAS,Mr.March's job performance and leadership during this period has been outstanding;and
WHEREAS,Mr.March has demonstrated unquestioned dedication,integrity,foresight,and compassion for
the less fortunate members of the community.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The City of Tigard, Oregon, based on the aforementioned considerations, hereby
extends to Mr. March its appreciation and deep expression of esteem for serving the
Tigard and other Washington County communities faithfully and well, and further
extends its best wishes for goo health,success and prosperty for many years to come.
