RESOLUTION NO.98- �3
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL APPOINTING JESSICA M. GOMEZ AND
ELIZABETH A.NEWTON AS DEPUTY CITY RECORDERS FOR CITYWIDE PURPOSES WHEN
CITY RECORDER CATHERINE WHEATLEY IS ABSENT.
WHEREAS, the office of the City Recorder of the City of Tigard is held by Catherine Wheatley;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary from time to time for the City Recorder to be absent from the City or City Hall;
and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial during such times that the City Recorder is not present to have
individuals appointed to the post of Deputy Recorder to assure that continuity of service is provided to the
public,Mayor,City Council and City staff.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Jessica M.Gomez is hereby named as Deputy City Recorder. By virtue of this office,
she is empowered by the City Council to act as City Recorder at any time in the absence
or unavailability of the City Recorder,Catherine'Vheatley.
AM SECTION 2: Elizabeth A.Newton is hereby named as Deputy City Recorder. By virtue of the office,
she is empowered by the City Council to act as City Recorder at any time in the absence
or unavailability of the City Recorder,Catherine Wheatley.
