A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE TREES 2000 REPORT AS THE GUIDELINE FOR A TREE
PLANTING PROGRAM FOR NEW AND REPLACEMENT TREES
WHEREAS,the Tigard City Council established a goal to plant 2000 trees by the year 2000;and
WHEREAS, trees must often be removed to maks way for the building of roadways, homes and
businesses;and
WHEREAS,the City commissioned the consultant firm Percival and Associates to identify locations in the
community for planting these replacement trees;and
WHEREAS,this study has been reviewed and approved by the Tigard City Council.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The Tigard City Council reviewed the Trees 2000 Report on February 24, 1998.
SECTION 2: The Tigard 2000 Trees Report is hereby adopted as the guidelines for a tree planting
program for new and replacement trees.
