RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY REFERRED TO AS ZONE CHANGE
IONNEXATION tZCA) 98-0004 - GAARDE STREETIOLSEN HEIGHTS ANNEXATION INTO THE
CITY OF TIGARD AS DESCRIB7 D IN THE ATTACHED "EXHIBIT A" AND FURTHER
ILLUSTRATED IN"EXHIBIT B".
WHEREAS,the Tigard City Council held a public hearing on March 10, 1998 to consider the annexation of six
(6)tax-lots consisting of 6.14 acres located at 11900, 11910 and 11920 SW Gaarde Street,south of SW Gaarde
Street,east of SW 121at Avenue and west of SW 118th Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation constitutes a minor boundary change under Boundary Commission Law
ORS 199.410 to 199.519; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council is authorized by ORS 199.490(2)(a)(B) to initiate an annexation upon
receiving consent in writing from a majority of the electors registered in the territory proposed to be annexed and
written consent from owners of more than half of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS,the property which currently lies within the boundary of the Washington County Enhanced Sheriffs
Patrol District, Washington County Urban Roads Maintenance District, Washington County Street Lighting
District #1 and the Washingtor County Vector Control District would, by operation of ORS 199.510, be
automatically and immediately withdrawn from thoge districts upon completion of the annexation.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL THAT:

ECTION 1: The Tigard City Council,pursuant to ORS 199.490(2)(a)(B), hereby initiates proceedings
for annexation into the City of Tigard, the territory described in the attached"Exhibit A"
and further illustrated in"Exhibit B".
SECTION 2: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file certified copies of the Resolution with the
Portland Metropolitan Area Local Government Boundary Commission at once.

Beginning at a point located North 110 feet from the initial point according to the duly
recorded plat of ARLINGTON RIDGE,recorded on June 29, 1994, in Plat Book 91, Page
33,Records of the County of Washington and State of Oregon;thence Easterly 321.80
feet more or less to a point;thence South 110 feet to a point on the North line of Lot 43,
according to the duly recorded plat of SHADOW HILLS NO.2, recorded on September
25,1985,in Plat Book 59, Page 28, Records of the County of Washington and State of
Oregon;thence South 8847'09"East along the North line of the plats of SHADOW
