A RESOLUTION APPROVIRG A REVISED FORMAT FOR THE TIGARD XUTd3CIPAL
CODE
WHEREAS, the Tigard Municipal Code (hereinafter refer=ed to as
°code$') was adopted in 1972 and since that time, all amendments to
the code have been published by Book Publishing Company o:E Seattle;:
Washington; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined that it would be more
economical and more beneficial to thee users of the code !:E the City
were to publish the code; and
WHEREAS. the code has been converted to a new format to make it
available to users on the City's computer network; and
WHEREAS, in-house publication of the code is nearly complete; and
WHEREAS, the code of the City of Tigard, adopted in 1972, as
subsequently amended and all general codifiable ordinances adopted
by the City Council are contained in the new format..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the W:Lgard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The City Council hereby approves the new format of
the code :and approves publication by the City of
all amendments thereto. It is clarified that this
is riot the adoption of a new code, therefore the
adoption of this resolution shall not affect rights
and duties that matured, penalties that were
incurred and proceeding that were begun before the
use of the reformatted code. Alm current
provisions of the code are continued.
SECTION 2: Use of the reformatted code shall begin July 1,
