RESOLUTION NO. 95-L
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET TO RECOGNIZE INSURANCE PROCEEDS
AND TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE REPAIR OF A PATROL CAR.
WHEREAS, a 1994 caprice Police patrol car was struck from behind and severely
damaged, and
WHEREAS, insurance adjusters have determined that the loss less a $500
deductible amounts to $9,070 and the City has received a proposal from a body
shop to repair the car for that amount, and
WHEREAS, the car must be repaired and placed back in the fleet for use by the
Police department in the carrying out of its duties as soon as possible, and
WHEREAS, ORS 294.480 (1) (e) allows a supplemental budget for the expenditure
of insurance proceeds from the involuntary destruction of assets, and
WHEREAS, the advertising reKuireme nts for supplemental budgets less than 10%
in each fund have been met in accordance with local budget law.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Counci 1 that:
Section 1: Funds in the amount of $9,070 received from the City's insurance
company are recognized as revenue in the general fund.
Section 2: The capital equipment appropriation in the Police Department,
Community Services Program is increased by $9,070.
