A RESOLUTION OF,THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF LOCAL
GREM-(SPACES AND TRAILS PROJECTS FOR INCLUSION IN METRO'S GREENSPACES
BOND 14 SURE
WHEREAS, Metro Council has submitted to the voters of the District the
question of contracting a General Obligation Bond indebtedness of $1:'8.8
million for greenspaces; and
WHEREAS, the measure will be placed on the ballot for the r�neral
election held or, March 28, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the measure includes up to $25 million for local government
greenspace projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard's pro rata share of this amount is $755,923;
and
WHEREAS, the City's list of local projects must be approved by the City
Councl'- and delivered to Metro no later than November 1. 1994; an
WHERL _:i� the approval of the attached list does not in any way express
the City Council's endorsement or opposition to the Greenspace Bond
Measure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1. The City of Tigard, Oragon, based on the above
considerations, expresses its support for the inclusion
of the attached list of local Greenspace and Trail
projects in the Metropolitan Service District Greenspaces
Bond Measure.
