CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
RESOLUTION NO. 94-
A RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TIGARD OF THE TERRITORY AS
DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT "B" ATTACHED. (ZCA 94-04, BULL
MT. ISLAND)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard held a public hearing on July,
12, 1994 to consider the annexati,,n of three parcels consisting of approximately
3.54 acres located sourh of S.W. Bull Mt. Road and east of Aspen Ridge Road; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation constitutes a "minor boundary change" under
Boundary Commission Law 199.410 to 199.519, and a so called "island annexation"
under ORS 222.750; and
WHEREAS, ORS 199.490(5) (a) and 222.750 give the governing body the authority to
initiate a minor boundary change by adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS. the area of the proposed annexation lies in the Tigard Water District,
the council intends, in the event the annexation. Is consummated, to withdraw from
that District by authority of ORS 222.520; and
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT P.ESO1,VED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The City Council, pursuant to ORS 199.490(5)(a) hereby initiates
proceedings for annexation of the territory outlined in exhibit "A"
and deocribed in exhibit "B" to the City of Tigard.
Section 2: The City Council hereby approves the proposed annexation and
requests the Portland Metropolitan Area Local Government Boundary
Corranission to approve it and effect it as soon as possible; and
Section 3: The City Recorder is hereby directed to.file certified copies of the
resolution with the Portland Metropolitan Area Local Government
Boundary Commission at once.
