Resolution No. 94-14 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
RESOLUTION NO. 94-JJ
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATION WITH OWNERS OF PARRWOOD COURT
APARTMENTS FOR THE PAYMENT OF DELINQUENT UTILITY CHARGES.
WHEREAS, the utility bills for the Parkwood Court Apartments have become
delinquent and the unpaid balance is over $76,000; and
WHEREAS, the current owner has not maintained the property and due to
the resulting deterioration, the complex has been operating at an
estimated 50% vacancy rate; and
WHEREAS, as interested party has approached the City about restructuring
the payment schedule for the delinquent utility charges and has made a
commitment to refinance and remodel the facility to improve its rental
rate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that a certain public good is accrued
through major renovation of this property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The City_Administrator or designee is authorized to
negotiate an agreement .with the owners of said property
whereby all current charges will be paid as billed, and
past due charges may reduced up to 40% upon payment of
60% of the outstanding balance within 24 months of the
40 Agreement.
