RESOLUTION NO. `7 3`
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON,
FIXING TFz-E DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE �
QUESTION OF WITHDRAWAL FROM TIGARD WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard is considering withdrawing the area
within its boundaries from the Tigard Water District; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to ORS 222.524, the City must hold a public
hearing on such a withdrawal; and

King City and the City of Durham have retic lied - ` =t on iss?gs
concerning the formation of a joint water agency; and
WHEREAS, formation of a joint water agency as agreed, requires that
the cities withdraw from the Tigard Water District; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council is now ready to fix a date, time
and place for the public hearing on water district withdrawal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1. The Tigard City Council shall hold a public hearing
on the question of withdrawal from the Tigard Water
District. The public hearing shall be held on
March 23, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tigard City
Hall, 13125 SW Hall Blvd., Tigard, Oregon. At the
hearing, the City Council shall hear objections to
the withdrawal and shall determine whether such a
withdrawal is in the best interest of the City.
SECTION 2. Notice of the public hearing shall be published
once each week for two successive weeks prior to
the date of the hearing. Further, notice shall be
posted in four public places in the City for a like
period.
