RESOLUTION NO. 92-JS
A RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TIGARD VP THE TERRITORY AS
OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B" ATTACHED. (ZCA 92-03)
(SWEENEY)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard held a public hearing on April
14, 1992 to consider the annexation of one parcel consisting of approximately
0.92 acre located at 11455 SW Walnut Street; and
WHEREAS, ORS 199.490(1)(a) gives the governing body the authority to initiate a
minor boundary chance by adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation constitutes a "minor boundary change" under
Boundary Commission Law 199.410 to 199.534; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has requested that this annexation be processed by the
expedited method without the Boundary Commission's study, public hearing, and
adoption of a final order; and
WHEREAS, the City Council may request that the proposed annexation be approved
without the Boundary Commission's study, public hearing and adoption of a final
order as authorized by ORS 199.466.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The City Council, pursuant to Opts; 199.490(1)(a) hereby initiates
proceedings for annexation of the territory outlined in exhibit "A"
and described in exhibit "B" to the City of Tigard.
Section 2: The City Council hereby approves the proposed annexation and
requests that the Boundary Commission approve and effect it as soon
as passible.
Section 3: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file certified copies of the
resolution with the Portland Metropolitan Area Local Government
Boundary Commission at once.
