WINREAS, a vacation request has buon received and filed with the City RmaWor
for vacation of a portion of ,W. 66th AVQUIUe; and
WHEREAS. this Portion of S.W. 66th Avenue is a dedicated public right -ef.way,
giving the public rights over the land for street anti utility i.rovOwntn; and
6MEREAS, the abutting property owners, Jim and Cora Corliss, and the Oregon
Department of Transportation, support the vacation; and
WHEREAS. the Tigard City Council finds it necessary and d0siroble to initiate
vacation pmc-edings for said right-of-way.
NOW, T"-�REFORE, RE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard ('ity Council that:
(1) That the Tigard City council initiates the vacation r,Q,O,t with he
understanding that these property Y=Ors who would normally sign a
petition simll be notified to mail of the proceedings and that thc,
benefitting property owners, Jim and Corliss, pay all foes and
charges as set :,j,t in IMC 15,0R
(2) That a public hearing is hereby called to be held by the City Council on
Mo--'-dxay, May G, 1984 at 700 PM at the Tigard Civic Center Town Hall
Room, 13125 SW Hall Boulevard, within the City of Tigard, at which time
and place the Council shall hear- any Objections thereto, and any
interested person may appear and be heard for or against the proposed
vacating of said easement.
(3) That the City Recorder be. and she is her-011Y, authorized and directed to
cause to have Published in We Tigard Times, a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Tigard hereby designated for- such purpose, a
notice of said hearing in the form hereto attached and by referonco
made a part hereof, the first publication to be April 6, 1989 and once
each week thereafter for five publishings in all.
The Recorder be, and she is hereby, further directed to cause to have
posted within five (5) days after the date of first publication, a copy
of said notice in the form attached, at or near each end of the area
proposed to be vacated.
