RESOLUTION NO. 89- iS
RESOLUTION COMMENDING JEAN YOUNG FOR HER YEARS OF SERVICF, TO THE CITIZENS OF
WASHINGTON COUNTY
WHERFAS, Jean Young has unselfishly given of her time and talent for the
betterment of all communities in Washington County; and
WHEREAS, Jean Young has served the comrainity of King City for 15 years, 8
years of which she has served as Mayor; and
WHEREAS, during those years as � n,-ncilor and Mayor, Jean Young has evidenced
to the Tigard City Council her desire to work closely with the City of Tigard
in planning and coordination, a system which has resulted in a better
understanding of a, zjirecticn for the future of both cities; and
WHEREAS, Jean Young's dedication to purpose over the years is further
evidenced by her participation in the following committees: Washington County
Public Safety Comunission, Washington County Transportation Coordinating
Committee, Washington County Charter Review Cem_a!ission, Washington County
Community Action Board, Washington County Emergency Medical Services Advisory
Council, Washington County Public Officials Council, at Washington County
Historical Society.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
The Tigard City Council wishes to express to Jean Young, in the form of
this Resolution, its heartfelt thanks for her participation in
Washington County government, participation which has also benefited the
City of Tigard, and further to express to her the Tigard City Council's
best wishes for the years which lie ahead.
