RESOLUTION NO. 88-1a 9
A RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TIGARD OF THE TERRITORY AS
OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B" ATTACHED. (ZCA 88-17)

VHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard held a public hearing on
December 5, 19,18, to consider the annexation of two parcels consisting of 5.82
acres located west of SW 121st Avenue and south of SW Tippitt Place; and
WHEREAS, ORS 199.490(1)(a) gives the governing body the authority to initiate
a minor boundary change by adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation constitutes a "minor boundary change" under
Boundary Commission Law 199.410 to 199.51.'.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The City Council, pursuant to ORS 199.490(1)(a) hereby
initiates proceedings for annexation of the territory outlined
in exhibit "A" and described in exhibit "B" to the City.
Section 2: The Council hereby approves the proposed annexation and
requests the Boundary Commission to approve it and effect it as
soon as possible.
Section 3: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file certified copies
of the resolution with the Portland Metropolitan Area Local
ro.,ernMent Boundary `�u¢unission�r once.

That portion of land located in the northwest quarter or Section 3,
Township 2 South, Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian, Washington County, Oregon
described as follows:
Beginning at. the initial point of -1ippitt. Plac() a recorded plat,
Washington County Plat Records (said initial point being on the existing city
limit of the City of Tigard j; thence on said city limit and it, southerly
extension. South, 416 feet to the southwest corner of that Parcel conveyed to
M. L. Lakewood, Inc. in Book 880, Page 34, ssid county':; deed records; thence
East, 707.6 feet; thence North 41 11' West, 366.88 feet; thence North 891 51'
East, 150 feet to the centerline of SW 121st Avenue; thence North 40 05' West,
on said centerline 50 feet to the easterly ext�ansion of the south line of said
Tippilt Place; thence South 890 54' 20" West, 442.4 feet to the northwest
