WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Service District (Metr',)) has .announced solid waste

WHE RE AS, "TMC Sect.ion 11 04.090(c) provides, t hat i ric recAso s in charges to the

governmental agency may be included i n consumer rates ostabl ishod by
resolution provided they are (-,v,?rily distributed wiionq therates; And
WHEREAS, the Utility and Franchise So Committoo moi. on Soptombor 20, 1988, and
reviewed the proposed rate schedule prepared by thc� Fin,qrwo Diroctur which
adjusts the rates for the metro dump foo increase; and,
WHEREAS, the Utility and Franchise Committee recollmiorided unanimously that the
City Council approve a rate incruaro to pass through to Tigard citizens the
untire metro dump foe incroase as reflected in Exhibit "A"; and,
WHF,REAS, the. recoinmondsd rates w--Il result in increases of $2.05 por, can per
month for residential accounts, $11.71 per yard of loose! material And $29-29
por, yard of compacted atatvri,,,tl; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need for, prompt actiun to ensure a
timely pass through of this government agency imposed operating cost increase.
NOW, 1HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section I The Tigard City Council. hereby appr-o%/e,,-, an i— r-ease in the
current garhacje rates to reflect a comploLe Pass through of
increased metro garbage disposal site fees, to be effective
Novcinber 1, 1988. Said increases are reflected in the attachud
Exhibit "W".
