A RESOLU11:OPd PROHIFAITING FHROUGH "(RUCKS ON S.W. 901H AVENUE FOR A PERIOD OF
SIX (6) MONTHS.

upon w-hich trucks exceeding specified weights are prohibited;
WHEREAS, the City Council has received requests to restrict truck traffic ori
S.W. 90th Avenue in the vi�:inity of Metzger Elementary School in order to
protect the safety of children walking to and from the school; 'Arid
WHEREAS, the concern for truck traffic on S.W. 90th Avenue is a temporary
problem relating to heavy construction activity which is currently occurring
in the: neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, alternate roadways are available: which provide: for truck access to
the construction sites in a safer manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: Trucks in excess of 10,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight shall be
prohibited ori S.W. 90th Avenue between Oak Street and Locust
Street; local deliveries on S.W. 90th Avenue will be excepted.
The truck prohibition shall be effective upon posting of
appropriate traffic signs and shall end on November 15, 1988.
Secton 2: The City Engineer is hereby instructed to cause appropriate
regulatory signs to ,.- posted on S.W. 90th Avenue to give
appropriate notice of the truck prohibitions.
