AS THE CITY vOir "TIGARD�S VOLUNI'EE.R NOSE:WHEREAS, the the Cita: of Tigard recognizes the de.dicat:ion and loyalty of its
volunteers; and
WHEREAS, the City acknowledges that countless hours are contributed by its
volunteers and that those hours could never be adequately cumpenssated; and
WHEREAS, the City realizes that through this dedication and loyalty its
volunteees have helped to make Tigard the growing city it is today; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now wishes to give special recognition to those
volunteers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the i'iyar'a City
Section 1: The 80 Jackson & Perkins Roses, donaLed by t`:e Hatr' and David
Bear Creek Corporation, have been planto.d by volunteers from 'Sunset Boy
Scout Troop #542, Cub Scout Troop x•/529 & #799 and Girl Scout Troop #298, on
the hillside outside Tigard's Police Department, and that from this date
forward that area shall be officially known as the "Volunteer Rose Garden
