RESOLUTION NO,
A RESOLUTION OF THE T"I:GARD CITY COUNCIL ESTABLISHING AN UPDATED PARK SYSTEM
DEVELOPMENT CHARGE.
WHEREAS, the current park system development charge of $150 has not been
adjusted for- increases in costs related to Park acrauisitian, development, and
expansion since 1984; arid,
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council adopted the Park Plan as approved by the Park
Board which sets forth the costs related to park expansions in a growing
community; arid,
WHEREAS, an informal survey indirmtOs that the average charge in neighboring
communities is over $260 per residential unit; and,
WHEREAS, The Tigard City Council desires to increase revenues related to park
acquisition, development, and expan::ion by adjusting the system development
charge; and,
WHEREAS, the Tigard Municipal Code 3.16.030 authorizes the City Council to set
park system development charges by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, 8E. IT RESOI..VED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: Parks system development charges on and after 1-1-88 shall be:
Single family residential unit $250
Multi family resident 150 per- unit
Mobile home 125 per space
