Resolution No. 87-148 CTIY OF -FI'.GARD, OREGON RES01_UTLON NO. 8'7--1.g11_. A RESOLUTION OF THL TIGARD CITY COUNCIL AUIHORIZING A PRELIMINARY ARCHTIECTURAL. FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR 111E EXPANSION OF THE TIGARD CIVIC. CEI1i3-ER. WHEREAS, the 19811 Space Needs S't'udy provided for the five year City Hall space needs and for the sevE:n to ten year Police, and Library space needs; and WHEREAS, growth and annexation have occurred faster than the planned space needs assumptions; and WHEREAS, 1988 is the fifth year of the Space Needs Study and the City is ta.lready experiencing the egt.iIvalent of year 8 in the space needs r-equest; and WHEREAS, underexpendit:ure, of City budget authorization -.nd .increased revenues from growth and annexation have allowed for $400,000 or Civic Center Expansion funding in the City's 5--Year, Financial Plan and those funds are already received and in reserve. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL-Vr0 by the Tigard City Council that: Section 1: The City Administrator is authorizer) $10,000 to bine a professional architect to prepare a preliminary expansion architectural feasibility report. Section 2: This report shall be brought back to the City Council and Budget Committee in time for consideration with the 1988-89 budget and provide for the option of beginning construction in the Spring of 1988.
