A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL APPROPRIATING CONTINGENCY FOR THE
UPGRADE OF BUSINESS TAX SOFTWARE.
WHEREAS, the City currently has an automated business tax sof-twar•e system with
which to bill and collect business tax.
WHEREAS, an upgrade in software will reduce the staff time necessary for data
input and retrieval thereby allowing more time for business tax collection and
enforcement.
WHEREAS, due to current business tax automation and staff attention, revenues
from business tar. for 1987--88 are expected to be $40,000 greater- than
anticipated in the adopl`ed budget and it has been estimated that this software
upgrade will lead to an additional increase in revenues of at least- $10,000.
NOtd, THEREFORE, BE If RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: Contingency is to be appropriated as follows.
General Fund Revision
City wide support $ 1,545
Contingency $(1,545)
