A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL FORMALIZING CURRENT PERSONNEL
PRACTICES BY ADOPTING AN UPDATED PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL.
WHEREAS, the existing Personnel Polir_ies and Procedures Manual (formerly
called the Personnel Rules) was adopted in 1979; and
WHEREAS, that Manual is currently in conflict with current collective
bargaining agreements and out of date relative to state and federal laws; and
WHEREAS, a newly formatted Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual has been
developed to reflect existing personnel practices and conformance with current
collective bargaining agreements and state and federal laws currently in
place; and
WHEREAS, City Council, staff, and bargaining unit representatives have
reviewed this document prior to adopting the attached Manual to reflect
current practice and policies.
NOW, THER.FFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
�- SECTION 1: The Personnel Rules adopted in 1979 are hereby repealed in
their entirety and the Personnel Policies and Procedures
Manual, attached as Exhibit "A", is hereby adopted.
