RESOLUTION NO. 87-`j_j
A RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TIGARD OF THE TERRITORY AS
OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B" ATTACHED.
ZCA 87-11 (SCARRATT).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard held a public hearing on
June 8, 1987 to consider the annexation of 0.16 acres located on SW North
Dakota Street; and
WHEREAS, ORS 199.490(5)(a) and 222.750 gives the governing body the authority
to initiate a minor boundary change by adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation is in accordance with ORS 490 and consti rtes
a "minor boundary change" under Boundary Commission Law 199.410 and 199.519,
and a so called "Island annexation" under ORS 222.750.
WHEREAS, the Council may request that the proposed annexation be approved
without the study, public hearing and adoption of a final order as authorized
by ORS 199.466.
NOW, THEREFORE, 9E IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The Council, pursuant to ORS 199.490 (5)(a) hereby initiates
proceedings for annexation of the territory to the City.
Section 2: The Council hereby approves the proposed annexation and
requests the Boundary Commission to approve the proposed
annexation without the study, public hearing and adoption of a
final order as required by ORS 199.461 and authorized by
199.466; and
Section 3: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file certified copies
of the resolution with the Portland Metropolitan Area Local
Government Boundary Commission at once.

A tract of land situated in the Southeast quarter of Section 35, Township
1 South, Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian, Washington County, Oregon,
described as follows:
Beginning at the point on the south 1=ne of Lot 24, ASHBROOK FARM, a
recorded plat, Washington County plat records, that is East 130 feet from the
southwest corner of said Lot 24; thence on said south line of Lot 24, East
70 feet; thence North 00 11' West, 125 feet; thence West, parallel with the
south line of said Lot 24, 70 feet; thence South 00 10' East, 125 feet to
the point of beginning, containing approximately .20 acre.
