A RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TI_(4RD OF THE TERRITORY AS
OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B" ATTACHED.
(ZCA 87-12)(VENTURA COURT)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard held a public ?searing on
June 8, 1987 to consider the annexation of 1.87 acres located ou SW North
Dakota; and
WHEREAS, ORS 199.490(5)(a) and 222.750 gives the governing body the authority
to initiate a minor boundary change by adoption of a reso;ution; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation is in accordance with ORS 490 and constitutes
a "minor boundary charge" under Boundary Commission Law 199.410 to 199.519,
and a so called "Island annexation" under ORS 222.750.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The Council, pursuant to ORS 199.490(5)(a) hereby initiates
proceedings for annexation of the territory to the City.
Section 2: The Council hereby approves the proposed annexation and
requests the Boundary Commission to approve it and effect it as
soon as possible.
Section 3: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file certified copies
of the resolution with the Portland Metropolitan Area Local
Government Boundary Commission at once.

ANNEXATION PURPOSES ONLY
That portion of land located in the southeast quarter of Section 34,
Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian, Washington County,
Oregon, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Initial Point at the northwest corner of Ventura Court, a
recorded plat, Washington County Plat Records; thence South O00 31' West, on
the west line of said Ventura Court, 532.41 feet to the north line of the John
Hicklin DLC No. 54; thence South 890 38' 10" East, on said north line,
169.99 feet to the east line of said Ventura Court; thence North 000 31`
East, 533.94 feet; thence South 89 50' 51" West, 170.0 feet to the point of
beginning, containing approximately 2.08 acres.
