A RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TIGARD OF THE TERRITORY AS
OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B" ATTACHED.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard held a public hearing on
June 8, 1987 to consider The annexation of 35.79 acres bordered on two sides
by SW Scholls Ferry Road a:,d 135th Avenue; and
WHEREAS, ORS 199.490(5)(a) amd 222.750 gives the governing body the authority
to initiate a minor boundary change by adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation is in accordance with ORS 490 and constitutes
a "minor boundary change" under Boundary Commission Law 199.410 to 1:9.519,
and a so called "Island annexation" under ORS 222.750.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The Council, pursuant to ORS 199.490(5)(a) hereby initiates
proceedings for annexation of the territory to the City.
Section 2: The Council hereby approves the proposed aaait

Section 3: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file certified copies
i of the resolution with the Portland Metropolitan Area Local
Government Boundary Commission at once.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ANNEXATION PURPOSES ONLY
That parcel of land located in the east 1/2 of Section 33, Township 1 South,
Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian, Washington County, Oregon, being described
as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 45, Brittany Square II, a
recorded plat, Washington County Plat Records; thence North 89058103"
East, on the north line of said Brittany Square II, approximately 770 feet
to the existing city limit of the City of Tigard; thence northerly, on
said city limit, 990 feet; thence East, 547.54 feet to the east line of
the west half of the east half of said Section 33; thence North, on said
east line, approximately 848.44 feet to the south right-of-way line of SW
Scholls Ferry Road (County Road 348); thence South 700 West, on said south
right-of--way line, approximately 1400 feet to the east right-of-way line
of SW 135th Avenue (County Road 934); thence southerly, on said east
right-of-way line approximately 1350 feet to the westerly extension of the
north line of said Brittany Square II; thence North 89058'03" East, on
said westerly extension, 15 feet to the point of be containing
approximately 35.9 acres.
