RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL MODIFYING RESOLUTION NO. 60-17 TO EXPAND
i1GARD'S NEIGHBORHOOD PLANNING ORGANIZATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution No. 80-17 which re-established
Neig!borhood Planning Organizations (NPO's) and updated Resolutions No. 75-60
and 79-8; and
WHEREAS, the NPO's have provided valuable input to the City in all -areas of
the planning process and have diligently represented the concerns of the
existing seven NPO areas; and
WHEREAS, the recent annexation of the south Metzger community has added a
significant new neighborhood to the City composed of an estimated 1,200
residents; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to annex further portions of the Metzger area to
eventually govern the entire community planning area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has committed to maintaining the identify of the
Metzger community within a Neighborhood Planning Organizatrion,
NOW, THEREFORE, 3E IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: Neighborhood Planning Organization No. 8 is hereby established
to function as the official citizen involvement entity to
represent the Metzger area in accordance with all guidelines
established by Resolution No. 80-17.
Section 2: The NPO No. 8 area is comprised of all property north of the
right-of-way of Highwav 217 and Pacific Highway which is now in
Tigard.
Section 3: The area Comprising NPO No. 8 will be expanded as further
annexations to Tigard take place within the Metzger area.
Section 4: The area of NPO H4 is hereby modified by eliminating all
properties north of Pacific Highway from NPO #4.
Section 5: The boundaries of Tigard's Neighborhood Planning Organization
are modified as shown on Exhibit "A" adopted as part of this
resolution.
