RESOLUTION NO. 87-44
A RESOLUTION HONORING AND COM!-1ENDING DORIS B. HARTIG FOR HER 23 YEARS OF
DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF TIGARD
WHEREAS, Doris Hartig has served the citizens of Tigard in various
capacities, including Personnel Director, Finance Director and City Recorder,
since February 3, 1964; and,
WHEREAS, Doris Hartig's professionalism and good humor have earned her
the respect and plaudits of her peers; and,
WHEREAS, Doris Hartig has been instrumental in successfully guiding the
City's administrative development during years fraught with challenge and change
as the community has grown from a population of 1,844 to 23,000; and,
WHEREAS, Doris Hartig has, during that period, given unselfishly of her
time and talents to the benefit of the entire community; and,
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council recognizes that such dedicated
community service cannot be adequately compensated, but wishes to record the
City's public appreciation to Doris Hartig for her dedicated service to the
city.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL that they wish to express, in
behalf of the entire community, appreciation and indebtedness to Doris Hartig
for her 23 years of service to the citizens of Tigard, during which time she has
been a major factor in molding Tigard into the desirable community that it is
today.
