CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
RESOLUTION NO. 87-- <'
A RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING THE INITIATION OF ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TI:GARD OF
THE TFRRITORY OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B" ATTACHED
(AL_BERTSONS` INC. ZCA 8-86).
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council adopted Resolution 86--93 on August 25, 1986
to forward this annexation proposal to the Portland Metropolitan Area Local
Government Boundary Commission as a triple majority proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission denied the proposal on December 11, 1986
based on a recent Oregon Court of Appeals decision on triple majority
annexations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on December 29, 1986 to
consider initiating annexation of the territory outlined on the attached map;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 86-139 on December 29, 1986 to
forward the proposal to the Portland Metropolitan Area Local Government
Boundary Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council called a special. meeting for January 14, 1987 to
allow for additional testimony on this annexation proposal; and
WHEREAS, aonexati.on to the City of the territory described in Exhibit "B"
attached would constitute a "minor boundary change" under the boundary
commission law, ORS 199.41.0 to 199.510; and
WHEREAS, by authority of ORS 199.490(1)(a) the Council of the City of Tigard
may initiate the annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The Council, pursuant to ORS 199.490(i)(a) hereby reaffirms
Resolution 86-139 initiating proceedings for annexation of the territory
described in Exhibit "B" to the City.
0ECTION 2: The Council hereby approves the proposed annexation and requests
the Portland Metropolitan Area Loral Government Boundary Commission to approve
it.
SECTION 3: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file a certified copy of
the Resolution with the Commission at once.

A part of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter and the
Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 15, T 2 s,
R 1 W, W. M. , Washington County, Oregon, described as follows:
Beginning, at a point on the North section line of said Section
-15, said point also being on the northerly extension of the West
richt-of-way line of S. W. 113th Avenue (County Road No. 1364) ;
thence along said West right-of-way line South 695.89 feet;
thence North 89' 471 0011 West 640 feet, more or less, to the West
line of Lot 19, WILLOWBROOK FARM, recorded plat in Washington
County Plat Records; thence along the East line of the Northeast
quarter of the Northwest quarter, of said Section 15 South 0' 151
0011 West to a point 352.51 feet; theme North 89' 491 3011 West
650 feet, more or less, to the East lire of the Oregon State-
United States Highway 99W right-of-way; thence North 15' 08' 0011
East 402.35 feet; thence North 1,9e 33.1 3011 East 347.6 feet along
the East line of said right-of-way; thence South 89' 491 3011 East
430.2 feet, more or less; to the East line of the Northeast
