RESOLUTION NO. 86—_JJ
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
RECORDER TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS AT THE INTERSECTION OF BEAVERTON--TUALATIN HIGHWAY AND
BURNHAM STREET.
WHEREAS, Beaverton—Tualatin Highway (Hall Boulevard) is a State highway; and
WHEREAS, the City has requested that traffic signals be installed at the
intersection of Beaverton—Tualatin Highway and Burnham Street; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation has determined that a
left—turn lane should be installed at the intersection; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared providing for the State to ciesign and
install the desired signal and left—turn lane improvements and providing for
the allocation of project costs between the City and the State; and
WHEREAS, the City has the required funds available in its adopted capital
improvement budget..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Recorder to sign,
on behalf of the City, an agreement with the Oregon Department of
Transportation identifying their respective obligations relative to
improvements to the intersection of Beaverton—Tualatin Highway and Burnham
Street. /
