RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING THE GIFT OF A PIANO FROM THE
AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN. 'TIGARD BRANCH.
WHEREAS, the Tigard Branch of the American Association of University Women
(AAUW) is a recognized, non-profit service group; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard Branch of the AAUW has offered to sponsor a project to
provide a grand piano for use in the Tigard Civic Center, with Dorothy Wor•rall
as Chairman, assisted by Jean Lindsay and Donna Hammersly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
The Cauncil accepts with deep appreciation, on behalf of the
citizens of the City of Tigard, the AAUW offer to obtain a
piano for the enjoyment of all citizens. Furthermore, that the
Tigard City Council pledges to support progra.::s utilizing the
piano and will assure its safe storage and maintenance.
