RESOLUTION NO. 86-
A RESOLUTION CONCERNING VACATION OF A PORTION OF SW GONZAGA
STREET BETWEEN 68TH AMID 69TH AVENUES WITHIN THE CITY OF
TIGARD, WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON.
WHEREAS, a vacation request has been received and filed with
the City Recorder for vacation of a portion of SW Gonzaga
Street between 68th and 69th Avenues; and
WHEREAS, this portion of land is dedicated, u,iimpro-ved,
right-of-way, and has been determined to not be needed by the
City for street purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council finds it necessary and
desirable to initiate vacation proceedings for said parcel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council
that:
1. The Tigard City Council initiates the vacation request
with the understanding that those property owners who would
normally sign a petition shall be notified by mail of the
proceedings and that the developer of said property pay all
fees and charges as set out in TMC Chapter 15.08.
2. That a public hearing is hereby called to be held by the
City Council on Monday, jyy P 7,1 i4si; , at 7:00 PM at

within the City of Tigard, at which time and place the
Council shall hear any objections thereto, and any interested
person may appear and be heard for or against the proposed
vacation of said lands.
3. That the City Recorder be, and she is hereby, authorized
and directed to cause to have published in the Tigard Times,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Tigard
hereby designated for such purpose, a notice of said hearing
in the form hereto attached and by th's reference made a part
hereof, the first publication to be 27 1986 and
once each week for five publishings in all.
The Recorder be, and she is hereby, further directed to
cause to have posted within five (5) days after the date of
first publication, a copy of said notice in the form
attached, at or near each end of the area proposed to be
vacated.
4. That the particular portion of dedicated public right-
of-way proposed to be vacated is described on the attached
sheet headed Exhibit "A" and by reference made a part hereof.

A parcel of land in the plat of WEST PORTLAND HEIGHTS, Washington County,
Oregon; the said parcel being all of S.W. Gonzaga Street (Seventh Street)
between S.W. 68th Avenue (Washington Street) and S.W. 69th Avenue (Grant
Street), in said plat described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block 32; thence, North 02' 33' 06"
East*, a distance of 60.00 feet, to the Southwest corner of Black 29;
thence, South 87o 28' 47" East, a distance of 199.97 feet to the Southeast
corner of Block 29; thence, South 02' 33' 17" West, a distance of 60.00
feet, to the Northeast corner of Block 32, thence, North 87° 28' 47" West,
a distance of 199.97 feet to the point of beginning. The parcel of land to
be vacated being approximately 0.275 acres.
Save and except an easement for utility purposes over the entire parcel to
be vacated.

NOTICE OF GONZAGA STREET VACATION HEARING
The Tigard City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday,
June 2, 1986 , at 7:00 P.M. at 13125 SW
Hall Bon levard Tigard, Oregon to consider the
proposed vacation on a portion of SW Gonzaga Street between
68th land 69th Avenues in the City of Tigard. The request was
initiated by the City Council on May 12. 1986 at the
request of Donald E. Pollock Investments. Any interested
person may appear and be heard for or against the proposed
vacation of said lands. Any written objections or
remonstrances shall be filed with the City Recorder by
June 23. 1986 by 5:00 PM.
