RESOLUTION NO. 85-_
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCI!_ OF CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON, DECLARING SUPPORT
FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CLEAR CITY-COUNTY ROAD SYSTEM PLAN AND WITHDRAWING
ALL PRIOR CITY REQUESTS FOR ACCEPTANCE: OF COUNTY ROADS.
WHEREAS, Washington County has jurisdiction over a series of arterial,
collector and local streets within the City limits and future areas of City
annexation interest;
WHEREAS, County staff and City staff have not yet recommended as to the
eventual City and County road jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, basic agreement on road funding strategies have been preliminarily
completed, but the relationship of the Fee-Per-Trip to jurisdictional issues
and a City-County Road Sv,tem is unclear;
NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
1, The City of Tigard supports the joint adoption of a City-County Road
System Plan; and
Z, The City of Tigard withdraws all prior requests for City
jurisdiction and acceptance of all County Roads within. the City
pending further review and action by the Council.
