A RESOLUTION OF T4'C TIGARD CITY COUNCIL TO SUPPORT ACQUIRING JURISDICTION OF
CERTAIN STREETS FROM THE JURISDICTION OF WASHINGTON COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard has appointed a citizen's Transportation Committee
for the purpose of advising it on matters of transportation; and
WHEREAS, one of the goals set forth by the City Council for the Committee is
to make at recommendation on acquisition of streets now controlled by
Washington County; and
WHEREAS, the Committee realizes it's responsibility to meet the goals set
forth by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard realizes the benefits of controlling streets
wholly or partially within it's city limits; and
WHEREAS, Washington County has indicated an interest in transferring
jurisdiction of certain streets to the City of Tigard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
That the City of Tigard begin the legal steps necessary to obtain jurisdiction
of the following streets from Washington County:
7 . All streets now existing inside the Tigard city limits, except State
Roads,
2. Entire streets now only partially under the jurisdiction of the City
of Tigard, except State Roads.
