A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING CLOSURE OF MAIN STREET
FROM SCOFFINS TO BURNHAM AND ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING ON SW BURNHAM
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 A.M. AND MIDNIGHT ON JULY 27, 1985
WHEREAS, Tigard Promotions Inc., is sponsoring Cruisin Tigard '85, a one day
event to be held in downtown Tigard on July 27, 1995;
WHEREAS, Tigard Promotions Inc., has requested that Main Street be. closed from
8:00 A.M. to midnight on July 27, 1985 to accommodate the event;
WHEREAS, in order to ensure access to the Tigard Police Department, the Police
Captain has requested that No Parking be allowed on Burnham on July 27, 1985
between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and midn:lht;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1. !'Iain Street shall be closed between SW Scoffins and SW Burnham on
July 27, 1985 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and midnight. An emergency lane
shall be reserved on the southeast side of the street.
f Section 2, No Parking signs shall be posted on SW Burnham Street between SW
Hall Blvd. and SW Main Street. The signs shall be posted prior to 8:00 A.M.
on July 25, 1985. Each sign shall read "No Parking/Tow Away Zone July 27,
i 1985, 8:00 A.M. to Midnight."
